I. Definition
SUS304CSP1/2H is an austenitic stainless steel cold-rolled sheet, belonging to the 304 stainless steel series under the Japanese JIS standard. In its name, "CSP" stands for cold-rolled surface treatment process, and "1/2H" indicates the material's hardness grade is half-hard. This product combines excellent corrosion resistance, good processability and moderate strength, and is widely used in industrial fields requiring high surface quality and formability.

II. Chemical Composition

The main chemical composition of SUS304CSP1/2H complies with JIS G 4305 standard, including carbon (C) ≤ 0.08%, silicon (Si) ≤ 1.0%, manganese (Mn) ≤ 2.0%, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.045%, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.03%, as well as 18%-20% chromium (Cr) and 8%-10.5% nickel (Ni). The reasonable ratio of chromium and nickel endows it with excellent oxidation resistance and acid-alkali corrosion resistance, while nickel also improves the material's toughness and ductility.

III. Physical Properties

The material has a density of approximately 7.93 g/cm³, low thermal conductivity and moderate thermal expansion coefficient. In the half-hard state (1/2H), its tensile strength is usually between 520-750 MPa, yield strength ≥ 380 MPa, elongation ≥ 30%, and hardness controlled within the range of HV 200-300. The surface undergoes cold-rolled polishing treatment, featuring high finish, which can meet the processing requirements of precision stamping, bending and so on. In addition, SUS304CSP1/2H can maintain stable mechanical properties in low-temperature environments, and is non-magnetic or weakly magnetic.

IV. Main Applications

With its comprehensive performance, SUS304CSP1/2H is widely used in home appliances, architectural decoration, food processing equipment and instruments and other fields. Specific applications include kitchen utensils (such as dishwasher inner tanks, sinks), electronic equipment casings, elevator decorative panels, chemical container linings, etc. Its half-hard characteristic is particularly suitable for the manufacture of parts that require a certain strength and subsequent forming, and its surface finish meets food-grade hygiene standards, making it suitable for environments in direct contact with food.
