I. Material Gene Decryption: The Hardcore Strength of JIS G4305 SUS430 Ferritic Stainless Steel

SUS430 is a highly representative ferritic stainless steel in the JIS standard, and its composition and performance design hit the sweet spot for mid-to-high-end market demands:

1.Optimal Chromium Content and Nickel-Free Economy: Chromium (Cr) content is controlled between 16% and 18%, and it is completely nickel-free (Ni). Its nickel-free nature ensures that pricing is virtually unaffected by wild fluctuations in international nickel markets, keeping raw material costs stable and controllable.

 

2.Balanced Mechanical Metrics: Its yield strength is ≥205MPa, tensile strength is ≥420MPa, elongation is ≥22%, and hardness is ≤200HV. While providing good formability, it also offers excellent corrosion resistance, making it the ideal economical alternative to conventional 304 austenitic stainless steel.

2.Suppressing Anisotropy to Prevent Stamping Wrinkles: Ferritic stainless steel is prone to "orange peel" or diamond-shaped wrinkling defects during cold rolling and stamping. By scientifically optimizing rolling directions and pass reduction distribution, we minimize material anisotropy, ensuring that the surface remains mirror-smooth and completely wrinkle-free after bending and stamping.
