Baosteel Corporation Hosts Automotive Steel User Conference
On September 14th, Baosteel Corporation held the 2023 Automotive Steel User Conference in Xi'an. Themed "Leaping Forward, Charting a Course for Intelligent and Low-Carbon Transformation," the conference aimed to explore new models and directions for the development of automotive steel in the context of China's leading role in global automotive high-quality development. The event also introduced Baosteel's overall solution for new energy vehicles (NEVs) and featured expert insights into the future trends and prospects of the Chinese automotive and steel markets. More than 900 leaders and guests from over 280 domestic and international automotive manufacturers, component enterprises, and related fields gathered during this refreshing autumn season to exchange ideas and learn from each other.

During the user conference, the Baosteel Automotive Steel team presented a comprehensive and detailed introduction to Baosteel's overall solution for new energy vehicles under the SMARTeX brand and held a product launch ceremony. Baosteel Automotive Steel, with QCDDS at its core, aims to build SMARTeX as a brand that leads the industry, sets benchmark standards, and embarks on an expedition filled with honor and dreams, hand in hand with automotive users.

Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the National Passenger Car Joint Conference, delivered a report titled "Industry Policies and Trends in the Chinese Automotive Market." He provided a comprehensive overview of the overall and segmented trends in the Chinese automotive market, elucidating the national industry policy strategies and trends in the context of dual carbon emissions. He also offered a positive outlook on the future development direction and characteristics of the automotive industry. Zhang Ning, Executive Secretary-General of the China Society of Automotive Engineers, presented a report titled "Development of Automotive Technology and Progress in Lightweighting in China." Reviewing the 70-year history of automotive technology development in China, he elaborated on the current status, challenges, and future development directions of lightweighting technology in the new era. Sub-forums focused on Baosteel Automotive Steel's low-carbon and lightweight materials, as well as the SMARTeX brand series of solutions. Baosteel experts delivered speeches and actively interacted with attending guests.

In his address, Wu Xiaodi, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Baosteel Corporation, stated that Baosteel will always adhere to the guiding principle of "customer-centricity and quality as the foundation." Starting from the perspective of QCDDS, Baosteel will integrate customer relationship maintenance, market share targets, marketing strategies, service measures, and R&D demands into the production, sales, and research work teams. During the conference, Baosteel Automotive Steel also showcased its technical achievements, including the Baosteel series of white bodies represented by BCB EV® Pro, integrated hot-formed solutions, steel battery pack solutions, automotive steel net-zero carbon path and ultra-low carbon emission component demonstrations, and automotive lightweight components. These exhibits attracted the attention of many attendees, who engaged in enthusiastic discussions with Baosteel experts.
